Aug 21, 2010 · RAM/Dimm slot issue. As the title suggest, my motherboard seems to have an issue reading memory. I have 2x2gb sticks and the computer will not boot unless a specific stick is in the A1 dimm slot. Most of the time you're supposed to use RAM as either 2 in one color slot, or 4 in all of them. I don't think you're supposed to mix and match the yellow and black slots.
